"I love Anton's classes at the Culver City Senior Center!! I started four years ago and every week I look forward to my Monday and Friday classes. In the beginning I was not too sure my knees could handle all the movements but over time I noticed that I am not thinking about my knees anymore -- the pain is gone! I also found that my legs are stronger and my balance is significantly improved! It is a challenge to remember all the movements of the long form but it is a great exercise for the brain too. Anton is a very talented young man with a big heart. He is so patient with all his students and generous with his knowledge and time. He is both serious and funny and is always encouraging us. I think he is an old soul!" - Carol Iu

"During the past two years I have taken basic and advanced Tai Chi classes with Anton Summers. Anton has an extensive knowledge of Tai Chi, Qigong and the Martial Arts. He is quite able to adapt his expertise in the principles and theories of the various Tai Chi styles and forms to students of all levels and all ages. Anton's classes for senior citizens are quite popular. On the other end of the spectrum Anton has trained Marines. Anton's training methods, learned from the best, not only include the teaching of forms, but provides significant insight into the benefits of Tai Chi and Qigong to improve the overall health of the individual student. An instructor must have a solid foundation in the principles and theories of Tai Chi plus considerable patience in order to properly guide students. I have benefited personally from Anton's instruction by improving medical issues, keeping active, while correctly learning the elements of Tai Chi. I would highly recommend Anton's classes or personal instruction to anyone wanting training on any level in Tai Chi along with the desire to increase fitness and assist with medical issues." - Gordon Bergelson, MBA Los Angeles, CA

"I wanted to learn tai chi for many years but never found a class that felt right until 2011 when I found a class with Anton Summers at the Culver City Senior Center. The ease of learning in just first few classes was a welcome surprise.(Usually, if I don't learn something very quickly, I become very self-critical.) I found I was very focused on learning the moves without my usual "angst." I attribute this to Anton, who is entirely welcoming and non-judgmental, and his attitude seems to be infectious. I began taking both his beginning and advanced classes one day a week each and I noticed I wasn't stumbling and falling down as I occasionally had before (the tripping over one's feet syndrome- ha!). My balance and core strength improved (and continues to) as I was more able to do the one-legged, more challenging moves, more easily. I recommend his classes to anyone who wants to be taught by an excellent instructor who teaches the gentle strength he projects inward and out." - Karen Kaye

"I have been studying tai chi with Anton for two and a half years. In that time I have noticed a big improvement in my balance, strength, stamina and flexibility. Anton has all the qualities of a great teacher-knowledge,patience and excellent communication skills. His classes are always fun and I learn something new every time." - Mark Morgan

I started taking Anton's tai chi beginners class at the Culver City Senior Center about four years ago after my husband passed away basically just to get some exercise and have something to fill my time.  Now I can't stay away. My one hour beginner class has turned into three classes a week, two of which are advanced.  Anton is a great teacher and has abundant enthusiasm in what he does.  He was born to teach.  He has patience to spare with the seniors in his classes and always has a smile on his face.  Every step he takes is graceful and strong.  Anton goes over every step we learn a number of times with explanations and stories that make the classes very enjoyable.  I always feel invigorated when I leave class.  I feel very fortunate to have found such a wonderful class and teacher. -Dana G.
